Η Δρ. Στυλιανή Σαρρή αποφοίτησε από το Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ) το 2011 και πήρε το Διδακτορικό της Δίπλωμα από το Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών του Πανεπιστημίου École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) το 2016. Κατά τη διάρκεια του διδακτορικού της, εργάσθηκε σε αρκετά ερευνητικά προγράμματα, όπως το C-DAX FP7 European project και το NanoTera S3 Grid και επέβλεψε 8 διπλωματικές και μεταπτυχιακές διατριβές. Συμμετείχε επίσης, στη διδασκαλία των μαθημάτων “Smart Grids Technologies” and “Eurotech Winter School: Integrated Approaches to Energy Systems”. Σήμερα απασχολείται ως ερευνήτρια του ΕΠΙΣΕΥ, ενώ παράλληλα εργάζεται στην Ελληνική Ρυθμιστική Αρχή Ενέργειας στη Μονάδα Παρακολούθησης Αγορών και Ανταγωνισμού, σε θέματα όπως: εφαρμογή του “μοντέλου-στόχου”, μηχανισμοί αποζημίωσης δυναμικότητας, ενσωμάτωση των ΑΠΕ στην αγορά κλπ. Είναι μέλος του ΤΕΕ από το 2011. Τα κύρια ερευνητικά της ενφιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την παρακολούθηση, λειτουργία και έλεγχο του ηλεκτρικού δικτύου σε πραγματικό χρόνο με έμφαση στην εκτίμηση κατάστασης ενεργών δικτύων διανομής. Επίσης, δουλεύει ερευνητικά στην ανάπτυξη μοντέλων πραγματικού χρόνου, τεχνικές πρόβλεψης φορτίου και ενσωμάτωση μεθόδων μαθηματικής ανάλυσης σε εφαρμογές συστημάτων ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας.
