The event “Trends and Challenges of Future Power Grids” was successfully held on Wednesday, October 7 2020. IEEE Greece Young Professionals in collaboration with IEEE NTUA SB, IEEE PES NTUA SB and the research team SmartRUE of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) co-organized this event to celebrate the IEEE Day 2020 and 50th Anniversary of IEEE Greece Section.

The speakers Panos Kotsampopoulos (IEEE Greece YP + SmartRUE NTUA), Panagiotis Moutis (Carnegie Mellon University + depsys SA) and Dionysios Stamatiadis (Smart Wires Inc.) presented the global research trends of future distribution and transmission power systems.
